At the time you drop off your pet, we will be able to give you an approximate time for pick up. We will text you as soon as your pet is finished.
The grooming process usually takes 3 hours. We do not rush your dog through grooming procedures. We use the time to make sure your dog is thoroughly cleaned and we hand dry all dogs. After the dog is completely dry. we will begin the grooming process. Scissors are mostly used for the entire grooming process. After we finish cutting and shaping your dog to your liking, we'll finish it off with a doggie cologne.
Please be aware some dogs may be required to stay with us longer than we originally organized, usually this is due to coat condition or doggy behaviour and sometimes we fall behind schedule.
For safety, we suggest all pets are on lead when handed to groomer.
Please inform the Groomer upon your arrival if your dog suffers any health issues such as Arthritis, Epilepsy, Diabetes, Pancreatitis, Knee Reconstruction, Skin conditions, any food allergy etc.
First time grooming experience can be quite scary. This is why we require first time puppies to get a puppy trim and not a full hair cut. This will help your puppy develop good grooming manners along with a relaxing first experience. (Its best to start full grooming puppies from 10-12 weeks up.)
In order to keep a sanitary work environment, please take your dog for a walk to relieve themselves prior to your appointment.
The dog's vaccination and deworming must be up to date. Records may be requested at time of booking.
All pets receiving services should be on flea treatment. You must let us know prior to arrival if doggo may have fleas, as this involves doggo being carried directly in to bath. Dogs found with fleas will require a mandatory flea wash at extra cost. Additional charges are also applicable for the treatment of our equipment to prevent spread. (Flea Shampoo $20)
Before service, it is your duty of care to inform our staff if you suspect your dog to be aggressive towards other dogs. In the event that your dog becomes too stressed or dangerous to groom, COZY PET STUDIO has the right to refuse grooming services, stop grooming service or cancel grooming service at any time before, during or after grooming and the client will be charged appropriately for work completed to that point.
Dogs with severely matted coats require extra attention. COZY PET STUDIO will not cause serious or undue stress to dogs by de-matting. Mats can be difficult to remove and may require the dog to be shaved. Removing a heavily matted coat can cause nicks, cuts or abrasions. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the dog’s skin, allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, and or revealing skin irritations that existed before the grooming process. After effects of the mat removal can include itchiness, redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions, and failure of hair to regrow. If your pet needs to be shaved to remove matting, you acknowledge that you agree to this procedure and any risk. There is an additional charge for this process. Also, Ear Hematoma in Dogs may happen when your dog has excessive ear scratching, head shaking, or broken blood vessels within the ear flap after shaving.
Not all dogs can have that cute picture you found on the internet. Depending on coat type, condition, pet willingness for grooming are all factors when figuring out what style will work. Speaking with our groomer will help you achieve the style you want with the cota your dog has.
When you come to pick up your dog, please do an overall check of your dog and let us know if you want anything trimmed down. more or something doesn't look right. Once you leave our studio we will not take the responsibility to fix them.
People who care about their dog's skin and fur condition should take their dog for professional grooming at least every 6 weeks, even in winter. Leaving the dog's winter coat un-groomed for the whole season is like human wearing a wet thick jacket that is stuck on the skin.
Grooming time depends on the size, the coat condition, as well as the dogs emotional and behavioural status. Usually take 2-3 hours to complete a full groom session. i will give you a 10min call/msg before they are done.
